Get Involved
Volunteers play a vital role in caring for Ouabache State Park. Whether you enjoy working outdoors, helping with events, or supporting educational programs, there are many ways to get involved. No matter your experience or availability, your time and effort help keep the park welcoming and well cared for.
Volunteer Opportunites
Wednesday Warriors
A group that meets 9 – 11 a.m. every Wednesday. They do simple tasks that the park maintenance team needs done.
Thursday Trailblazers
A group that meets every Thursday morning. This crew works on the maintenance of the many trails here at the park.
Grounds maintenance
This is mowing, trimming, and maintaining the public ground areas. This can happen any day of the week.
Discover Ouabache
Writers, photographers and advertising promoters are needed. The magazine is published quarterly.
Wonderland of Lights
Take down and tear down November through January, gate attendants, Elf Cocoa shop, advertising, This is our annual fundraiser for the Friends group.
Lunch and Learn Program
Held the second Thursday of March thru October at noon at the lodge. Needed hostesses, set up and tear down.
